THE CALCULATION PATH

From outcomes to the final result

01 / OUTCOMES & MISSION

Combine, scale, then weight

Open an outcome to see annual inputs, source cells and the exact Excel formula. Values are rounded for display.

Combined outcomes use the source workbook’s reporting windows. Graduation rates are expressed on a 0–100 scale before scaling. Associate and bachelor outcomes may have separate scales and then share one mission weight. Published annual inputs can already include focus-population premiums; those premiums are not added again.

Model periods, coverage & interpretation

The 2015–20 model remained in use for FY2021–22 and FY2022–23 after the review was delayed. Groupings here follow THEC’s resource pages. The FY2026–27 workbook is under 2020–25 model resources; it should not be assumed to implement the newly published 2026–30 model just because of its fiscal-year name.

2026–30 model definitions and recommendations ↗ · Institution-level calculations for this new model will be added when a numerical workbook is available.
